Operations People Capability Strategy:
The strategy was tabled with the HR Director as well as the business planning conference and was approved for implementation in all six divisions in Operations Implemented a world-class programme (Mission Directed Teams MDT) Integrating the programme with leadership development, performance management systems, team coaching, team and individual audits as well as supervisory training programmes
Developed and presented this programme to 20 operational teams It became a model site not only within the company, but also for external visitors
The "Brandcrafters" initiative remains in place to this day in Distell. This involved facilitating focus group discussions and using this information to "distill" the essence of the current and the "to be" culture of the company. The latter part of the project focused on rolling out the new corporate values and aligned all communication, templates, corporate meetings and functions, training and IT systems to the "new way" Projects implemented in this position:
Distell Induction – Revised induction programme for Distell and upgraded all materials, booklets and procedures Time & Attendance system – Implemented new Blicks system. First implementation for Distell, enabling integration with SAP. Employee Performance Management System - Served as project team member every year since inception of EPMS system, including EPMS for Bargaining Unit. Distell Leadership Development Programme – Served as project team member to initiate and develop this programme in conjunction with GIBS University.
