Jan. 2003 - Jun. 2009Network Rail, run, maintain and develop Britain’s rail tracks, signaling, bridges, tunnels, level crossings and many key stations. With over 130,000 employees, from ground staff, to those working within the project and territories teams. During this role I reported to the Technical Service Director and Head of Health and Safety for Network Rail. Working with the relevant Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors to agree remit and success criteria of ‘change’ projects
Manage the development and delivery of change projects in compliance with company processes and procedures
Project Safety Leadership Group (PSLG) secretary, being the first point of contact for CEO’s and directors of every major engineering and railway sectors for the delivery of safety improvement of the UK rail network
Manage the production of project management plans for change projects
Discussing and implementation of key performance indicators (KPI’s) and reporting back to board level
Prepare reports for Engineering, Systems and IT functions throughout the Technical Services Department with over 300 employees
Support the Technical services director with all administration for his 13 key reports, including PA’s and Team Organisers.
