================================================== By converting large, complex data into a foundation for C-suite decision-making and presenting findings to senior management, external and internal stakeholders in a user-friendly format, my work contributed to the following outcomes: ✓ Reduced out-of-network claims by 235% and saved the company $1M by identifying high-usage, high-cost providers, leading to an overhaul of network provider listings. ✓ Increased direct contracted network providers by 40% by identifying gaps in and conducting financial analysis for out-of-state travel claims. ✓ Decreased costs by identifying trends in expenses, utilization, medical quality, and other areas, applying methods such as line of business, par versus non-par, etc. ✓ Slashed outside vendor expenses $900K/year by creating a weekly report for key internal stakeholders, illustrating network contracting achievements in key geographic areas. To arrive at these results, I: ● Modernized data management and reporting by introducing Power BI and creating seamless interactions between disparate data sources with queries, data schemas, and visualization. ● Created dynamic, first-ever tool encompassing 5-market competitor data as an analytical framework. Thanks to this contribution, I earned Executive Leadership Recognition. ● Implemented a multiple-data source reporting system by partnering with a national network strategist.
Trained team on Power BI.
● Developed statistical analysis using SalesForce data *UPMC Health Plan is part of an integrated healthcare delivery system that services more than 3.9M members through 140 member hospitals and 29,000 physicians.
