DysonUser Centred Design Engineer (NPD)
Jan. 2016 - Dec. 2016Transferred the Air Wrap assemblies from NPI to the New Product Development (NPD) stage of the design process. My role continued to focus on the user-centred design aspect of the product. I continued conducting usability assessments, performance testing and ensuring use-related risks were assessed and mitigated throughout the design process. I also transferred all usability related knowledge / test methods to the DFM team (which included a 3 month secondment in Singapore).

Jul. 2013 - Dec. 2015I worked in an initially small team of 3 people within Dyson’s New Product Innovation (NPI) team, where we invented and developed the Dyson Air Wrap. I specialised in user-centred design throughout my role, listening to intended users and translating their needs into design requirements / concepts for usability testing. I led the usability testing throughout the process, continuously improving the design to ensure user needs where met. I am named inventor on 13+ patents for the curling, brush and dryer attachments.
