Peace CorpsCommunity Health Educator
Jun. 2015 - May. 2017Belize, Central America I conducted 315 generative research sessions over nine months using ethnographic data collection, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and card sorting. I collected and analyzed epidemiological and surveillance data from over 500 individuals to identify key problems and pain points of populations at risk of developing chronic diseases.
I created an all-women’s exercise group, supporting 24 women in collectively losing 296 pounds in six months, significantly improving their health and well-being. I collaborated with country-national representatives and cross-functional teams to reconstruct a dilapidated health clinic in the village of Pomona Valley, enhancing medical services for approximately 3,000 residents.
