They're focused on building loyalty to ensure long-term client retention by presenting product information, addressing customer issues and helping the sales team with upsells and renewals. Beyond the relationship, however, I'm also their advisor of best practices, a resource and advocate of their success, and, when necessary, a challenger to their status quo in my effort to get them to adopt a process that will help them realize their strategic goals. I moved to Customer Success because I found the most enjoyable conversations I had were the ones where we confronted a bad process, bad outcome, or difficult customer relationships issue head-on. These conversations, while often difficult, provided an opportunity to guide and support our customers to a process that will help them realize their strategic goals and maximize the use of their Levelset subscription. I like to tell people that I'm sort of like their personal trainer: they told us their goals, and I'm the guy who makes sure they come to the gym and put in the effort! I strive to be an expert, an advocate, a cheerleader and, when necessary, an irritant.
