Self-employedQuality Management Specialist
Jan. 2017 - Mar. 2018Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. As a consultant, I helped small businesses define and implement quality assurance policies and practices. I have worked with clients from different areas, such as retail, education services, and furniture manufacturers.
Incostas S.A.Project Manager
Jan. 2015 - Jun. 2016Caracas, Federal District, VenezuelaWe developed nine projects within the environmental studies division.
The majority were Environmental Impact Assessments and due diligence, where we include modern concepts to the traditional administrative process. I was also involved in the redesign and optimization of the Integrated Management System of INCOSTAS (ISO 9001 | ISO 14001 | OSHAS 18001), with greater emphasis and participation in environmental management and quality assurance.
Incostas S.A.Project Intern
Sep. 2014 - Jan. 2015Caracas, Federal District, VenezuelaDuring my internship in INCOSTAS S, A, I lead a small project developing a sewage treatment system for a tourist complex (Planned to attend 200 people per day) located in La Blanquilla Island, Dependencias Federales, Venezuela. The difficulties and challenges involved in constructing 170 km offshore and the area's harsh conditions make the right system selection an exciting process. Finally, I designed an artificial wetland, a natural wastewater treatment system with excellent qualities:
- low mechanization, - low technical requirements and
- low construction and operational costs. All these attributes made the project viable and later on constructed by INCOSTAS.
Universidad Nacional Experimental del TáchiraLaboratory Assistant
Feb. 2012 - Jul. 2012San Cristóbal, TáchiraTrainee of the Multidisciplinary Unit for Research in Basic Sciences and Engineering (UMICBI), UNET. During my short period in the laboratory, we developed research on Methanol (CH3OH) presence in artisanal liquors produce locally in the State of Táchira. I was in charge of:
- Coordinating fieldwork for the collection of samples,
- Perform calibration curves in our lab
- Determining methanol's concentrations in the samples.
- We use spectrophotometry, with high levels of quality and standardization. Even that I could not complete the project, a significant number of analyzed samples were positive, which shows the risk in the consumption of artisanal liquors in high quantities. Methanol in high concentrations (Doses over 20 ml) can be deadly for humans.
