Content Development Team Leader
Palmerston North City Library and Community ServicesContent Development Team Leader
Mar. 2014 - Dec. 2014Palmerston NorthFor the duration of this contract I had two roles - I juggled Team Leader responsibilities for the Content Development Team at the City Library and Community Services while performing Business Analysis for the Information Management Team at PNCC. Within the Team Leader role I was responsible for a team of 14 selection, acquisition and cataloging and processing staff and was tasked with some key targets to achieve. One significant strategic goal was to spend the capital budget by the end of financial year. When I took on the role I had 3 months to drive a remaining spend of $300K, where the average monthly spend was $53K [$14K off target per month]. We hit the target, ensuring that the budget remained intact for future years. I built up the individual capacity of the selection team so that they had solid foundations to continue the planning and spending practices that see them well on target for the current financial year.

This assisted in the business gaining clarity around the impacts of particular initiatives, and provided an opportunity to better plan and implement future initiatives.
