The Cedars Group - Private Addiction Treatment FacilitiesClinical Director
Mar. 2005Cape Town, Western Cape, South AfricaThe Cedars was founded in 2003 by Keith Wilkes and Julia Coleman.
The founding ethos of the treatment centre was to provide a place where addicts and alcoholics could be introduced to the solution that had given them both freedom from addiction. Since then, the rehab has evolved and strengthened with the addition of internationally accredited counselors, nursing staff, social workers, medical aid compliance and registration with the department of social development. Although the treatment centre has grown and developed over the 14 years of its existence, its intention has never waivered: addiction is a much misunderstood and fatally ignored illness. The Cedars is a place where a way out is on offer, the same solution that has given the staff here a combined 80 years in recovery.
