Sep. 2012 - Aug. 2017London, United KingdomMember of the team developing the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine (founded 2012). In this role, and as a member of a small team of interdisciplinary scholars, I played a key role in the creation of a new interdisciplinary department and its degree programmes by setting pedagogical and research agendas, designing and implementing the curricula and course content for a novel undergraduate degree in Global Health and Social Medicine (first of its kind in Europe), while teaching, mentoring, supervising, and fulfilling administrative duties as the Departmentโs Study Abroad Tutor, Director of the Study Abroad Programme, Director of International Partnerships and Exchanges, Chair of the Undergraduate Exam Board, and Chair of the Research Group Culture, Medicine, Power (CMP). I created a two-way Study Abroad Programme for undergraduate students, by establishing new strategic partnerships with international partners and universities including Johns Hopkins University, UNC Chapel Hill, and University of Melbourne. I taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical anthropology; social medicine; war and mental health; War, memory, and psychiatry, and supervised PhD students.
