May. 2006 - Oct. 2008I supported production and development environments composed of AIX, Windows and Suse Enterprise Linux systems. There were approximately five thousand nodes that composed various environments. I also supported a large range of network equipment from Foundry, Juniper and Cisco. I acted as a team lead for the operations group. Our combined production systems brought in around 5 million active users at the time. (new.familysearch.org, www.familysearch.org, familysearchindexing.org, search.labs.familysearch.org) At the time we had around 4 petabytes of data that was going through the publishing process or was already available for public consumption. All these systems were located at three different data centers: a primary production site in Ashburn, Virginia, a secondary production site in South Jordan, Utah and a development site in Salt Lake City, Utah.
