This includes the main web application, partner campaigns and landing pages, mobile app design, and other design requests. Research tasks include idea validation, benchmarks, data analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder interviews, focus group, and user interviews. Design web, mobile web, mobile app UI and prototyping using Figma and Adobe XD. Identify edge cases, and map out user experience through user flows or flowcharts. Feedback and technical requirements gathering. User recruitment and usability testing using UXTweak, Usabilityhub. Some accomplishments include increasing the average number of submitted adviser reviews by 1,500% by improving the service engagement journey. Instrumental in ideating and creating the design for the company’s first mobile application partnered with Mastercard.

Created feature requirements documentation for the development team that includes mockups, UI flow, flowchart, and Invision Inspect to help with hand-off. Assisted the founder in sales and account management. Built the team from the ground up recruited and hired the current team. Some accomplishments include successfully finishing Creative Destruction Lab accelerator, obtaining Ontario Securities Commission exemptive relief that allows ZED to sell its tokens to non-accredited investors in Canada (first of its kind for cryptocurrency globally).

Tasked with researching, planning and designing new and unique features identified through user interviews, surveys, business needs and management or client feedback/suggestions. Handle hand-offs of design mockups and documentation such as sitemap, flowchart, interaction document to developers and QA. Assist with implementation by providing graphic exports, HTML and CSS code (if needed). Conduct testing and gather feedback on design to make sure that the design is intuitive or easy enough to use. Use design tools such as Photoshop, Adobe XD, Illustrator to design wireframes and mockups and test interaction or prototyping with Invision.

Worked with front-end and back-end developers to maintain consistency between design and code. Suggested and designed text link to phone feature and iPhone app launch email signup. Redesigned the Android app and designed the iPhone app by using standard UX research methodologies. Conducted user interviews (40 people in total) and went through the whole remittance process myself (Western Union and iRemit) to fully dive and understand the product, user desires, goals and motivation in order to design an app that our target market would want. Was responsible with exporting the assets and QA of the apps. Communicated efficiently with a distributed developer team (Ukraine and Philippines) to make sure that code follows design. Designed the pitch deck powerpoint and some print materials that the CEO used for some events. Helped with recruitment, conducted applicant interviews, some social media management and marketing as a product evangelist.

Communicated with developers to maintain accuracy of code in comparison to the design. Helped with minor testing for quality assurance. Was tasked to harmonize the iPhone and Android applications. By using standard UX research methodologies (user personas, customer interviews, research, use cases) I was able to create a design that satisfies user goals and motivation. Also designed the app that works with iPhone and Android users. Helped with some marketing materials and other design duties.

Determine product MVPs (Minimum Viable Product). Was responsible for the market research and validation of some of the ideas the company wants to pursue. Handles user testing, UX personas and solves product problems through user feedback, decoded Google Analytics data for web projects and Flurry data for mobile projects. Made sure that the development team follows the flowchart, wireframes/mockups and prototypes including animation. Also served as the Project Manager for the projects I was directly involved in by assigning and managing team tasks, schedules and deadlines. Managed versions and releases. Coordinated team direction and communication. Held team meetings and standup meetings. Created basic test plans and also performs Quality Assurance tests on the apps before App and Google Play Store submissions.
