Feb. 2009 - Jan. 2013Lead several large and complex transformation projects for PinkRoccade Healthcare in the Netherlands on more applications designed for the healthcare market: - about 30 people only in Yonder - 5 different teams, including a framework team that supports the production teams, 2 different large projects based on a custom-built framework - cross functional teams consisting in software engineers, architects, business analysts, quality control and team leads - distributed teams with functional and technical linking pins from our customer - multi-annual, multi-million budgets coming from different departments and stakeholders - layered distributed architecture on the following platforms and technologies: .Net/WPF UI, Java backend layer, rich JS UI, database independent (support for MSSqlServer, PostgreSQL and OpenEdge so far, others possible) - Scrum methodology - Agile practices, like pair programming, continuous integration, code and peer review - continuous and direct communication , daily standups, weekly review at the PM level, monthly review at the management level, mostly on high quality video connections - transparency via tooling like Jira and Confluence used together with our customer. Main responsibilities consist in: - regular communication with the customers at different levels - planning and monitoring the development process to be aligned with the strategic customer targets - reporting to management and customers and periodical reviews - resource management - aligning the different teams efforts, weekly Scrum of Scrums meeting - performance management and appraisal - invoicing and forecasting - enabling the people to put in practice their natural strengths and help them gain more skills and confidence through training, coaching and mentoring programs - active contributor at the company level via the regular PM meetings and input provided in the different areas: performance management, CMMI process certification, KPIs, etc.
