Apr. 2018 - Feb. 2020Porto Alegre e Região, BrasilI've maintained and scaled the backend platform for CampGladiator, at the time one of the fastest growing US companies, serving 300,000 active users across their outdoor fitness operations, and built extensive reporting features for a US real estate brokerage platform. • Rearchitected the entire payment system in Elixir, drastically reducing error rates and enabling the platform to consistently process 70,000+ subscriptions during peak promotional weeks, with multiple such events occurring over a span of under two years; • Integrated and ported over multiple features from a legacy PHP system into a set of Elixir microservices, leveraging Kafka to maintain business continuity during the modernization process; • Migrated the core infrastructure from manually managed EC2 instances to Kubernetes using kops and Amazon Managed Kafka, cutting operational costs by over 50%; • Established CI/CD pipelines enabling blue/green deployments, ensuring zero-downtime releases for critical business operations; • Built extensive reporting features via complex SQL queries to provide financial and transactional analytics; • And also contributed to an internal project by implementing a development version of an iOS application in Swift that eventually would become the main user-facing interface of that product.
