I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) professional with diverse experience in technical recruiting, client solutions, English language pedagogy, and Spanish→English translation and editing. Most recently I worked in technical recruiting with clients at several Fortune 500 companies; prior to that I spent a short period in call-center customer service. I have nearly 15 years’ experience teaching English as a foreign language in the United States and Chile, working with students and teachers of all backgrounds and all ages (early childhood, teenagers, adults) in individual and classroom settings. I have taught in New York City (institutes and an elementary school), ran private classes in Santiago for adult professionals, taught group and corporate classes in Santiago, and taught adult immigrants in New York. I received my TESOL certification from Seattle University in 2010. I have freelanced in Spanish→English translation and English editing for over a decade. My Spanish credentials include a B+ DELE certification, 24 credit hours in Spanish language, literature, and culture at Arizona State University (online), and six months of full-time study in Salamanca, Spain (2009).
