Implemented and maintained the Weather, Research and Forecasting model (WRF) in operational (meteorology) mode for the Caribbean region. Designed and implemented the first Beowulf cluster for climate modeling at the Institute. Taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in Meteorology at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados. Class sizes ranged between 4 and 70 students. Developed course materials, and assessments, graded and was responsible for delivery of lectures. Attained first-examiner status from the university after two years. Taught the climate components of the technical courses devised by the World Meteorological Office for the meteorologist and hydrologists certifications at the four levels: entry-, mid- and senior- level technicians and forecasters. Pedagogical activities - Career showcases
Planned and executed presentation to prompt the awareness of the atmospheric and earth sciences to the youth at career showcases hosted by various entities for school children and the general public alike in Barbados. Curricular materials University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus Shared the responsibility of developing new courses and altering existing courses in the Meteorology Undergraduate courses. Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology Summer School Developed, with another colleague, a syllabus and materials (including a handbook) for a 4-week Summer course delivered to school students (older than 15 years) and trainers alike in Meteorology and Hydrology. The course involved introducing the disciplines, the basic physics involved, and many practical sessions illustrated the applicability of the disciplines in the Caribbean region.
