Bank of New ZealandBusiness Lead - FAA project
Feb. 2010 - Apr. 2011As the business lead for the FAA project at BNZ, my primary responsibility was to oversee the implementation of all FAA requirements across the bank. To achieve this, I worked closely with the regulatory compliance function and various business units, including wealth, Agri, Business and Retail banking, acting as a conduit between them to ensure that everyone was aware of the project requirements and their respective roles and responsibilities. One of the key challenges of this role was to ensure that the FAA project was implemented on time, to spec, and within budget. To achieve this, I developed a comprehensive project plan that included clear timelines and milestones for each phase of the project. This allowed me to closely monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks and take corrective action as needed to keep the project on track. Throughout the project, I worked closely with the project team to ensure that they had the resources and support needed to deliver on their respective tasks. I also provided regular updates to senior management on project progress, including any risks or issues that needed to be addressed. In the end, the FAA project was successfully implemented, with all requirements met on time, to spec, and within budget. This was a major achievement for the bank, and I was proud to have played a key role in its success.
