I have guided students on adventures in the United States, France, Peru, Tanzania, DR, Thailand, Laos, Guadeloupe, and Costa Rica, and have facilitated countless hours on challenge courses. I have seen amazing successes and debilitating breakdowns, and have learned powerful lessons about how students experience adventure. This real-world experience and my challenge course facilitation training has guided my pedagogy. I now teach a curriculum that I designed called Adventure Psychology, and am devoted to teaching my students about choosing appropriate risk, exploring outside their comfort zone, and building confidence through adversity.
