Feb. 2017Port Harcourt• Ensure that all accounting activities and functions of the Finance department are carried out in an effective and efficient manner. • Ensure timely preparation of organizational budget. • Work with all departments to create individual vessel and departmental budgets and follow up to ensure expenses for the vessels and departments remain within or under budget • Develop and Implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that personnel and financial information is secured. • Propose and ensure a strategic financial and tax efficient model. • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal and external financial and accounting policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of the organization with regard to VAT, WHT, PAYE , CIT, Pension, etc. • Produce accurate accounting reports and analyze all financial information, such as monthly management reports and annual financial reports that are IFRS compliant reporting. • Ensure efficient preparation of cashflow forecast and efficient management of the organization’s cash flow • Ensure provision of necessary supporting informatron for all forms of bids, audit and management of relationship with the auditors. • Review monthly performance reports and implement monthly variance reporting in comparison with approved budget. • Management of the Finance Team, including organizing roles and responsibilities, recommending training and development, handling of performance evaluation, setting of standards and KPI's.
