Financial institutions include non-banking financial institutions, commercial banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, cooperatives and fintechs. - Past and present coverage include bank and non-bank companies in Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Takijistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco. As well as currently focusing on FinTech companies in Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Mauritius, Egypt, MENA), as well as Mexico and LatAm region. - Responsible for the monitoring of country and financial sector risks, including stress testing during COVID - Managing the SYM50 index, the Symbiotics index which tracks fixed income microfinance in emerging markets, including rebalancing yearly, and coordinating all reporting for investees participating in the index, as well as writing annual reports for investors on the index performance as compared to their portfolio - Day-to-day responsibilities include due diligences with investees’ management teams, analysing company risks, monitoring portfolio risk metrics, and preparing investment memos and sustainability reports for investment committees.
