Artisan Crew Engineering Inc.V. P. & Digital Marketing Manager / Social Media Director / eCommerce Manager
Jan. 2002 - Jul. 2017Greater Los Angeles AreaAs a business owner and marketing expert, Leah developed marketing plans and website concepts for over 20 American and Japanese corporate clients. She executed highly successful social media properties, built up social media communities to 100k active members and more, created campaigns, and designed creatives (graphics, photography, art direction, written contents). Leah also created brands sold through online shops and executed the branding via front end design (HTML / CSS / Graphic Design / Art Direction) for both clients and internal properties (MMM, Artisan Socks, Cushzilla). From concept to logos to marketing strategies to social media properties, she negotiated the actual product development with manufacturers, negotiated and priced products, created and maintained quality control policies, created customer service training guidelines and manuals, maintained PCI compliance and other online shop security issues and fraud prevention, headed up merchant account negotiation and management, and made quarterly sales tax payments. In addition, Leah researched, sourced, and negotiated costs for I.T. solutions, and implemented and maintained them for both clients and internally. This included SSL certificates, IIS, web and mail log management, dedicated hosting, mail-server software, bar code scanning software and devices, third-party spam filters, VPN implementation, Firewalls, Internet connections and ISPs, trade show presentation hardware and software, and antivirus solutions. She also led troubleshooting efforts in both English and Japanese environments, finding solutions when service providers' technical support could not. Finally, Leah negotiated, found, and was responsible for all legal aspects of leasing business properties and warehouses, corporate compliance documents, worker's comp audits, payroll (ADP) and HR issues including but not limited to EDD, and cross cultural communication.
