In detail: I am a Japan-based consultant permanently residing in Tochigi, specializing in helping Japanese companies market effectively to U.S. and English-speaking audiences.
I bring over 20 years of experience in marketing, web development, branding, IT, and business evaluation, with a focus on translating Japanese business strengths into messaging, systems, and execution that work internationally.
My professional background spans Japan and the United States. I lived in Japan for nearly a decade earlier in my career, passed JLPT N1, and studied political science (in Japanese with the Japanese student body) at Waseda University after matriculating into its Economics and Political Science department. I began my career in Japan in a business consulting firm focused on IT infrastructure before relocating to Los Angeles, where I co-founded and scaled a digital marketing agency serving U.S. clients.
I later served as Vice President of Artisan Crew, a boutique Los Angeles digital advertising agency, and as Vice President of an American professional beauty products brand, while continuing my consulting practice. These roles give me a practical understanding of how U.S. buyers evaluate credibility, messaging, websites, and vendors, and where Japanese companies are most often misunderstood or misrepresented.
My core expertise includes:
Marketing audits for Japanese companies targeting U.S. and English-speaking markets
Evaluation of English-language websites, copy, SEO, and digital campaigns
Review of overseas agencies and vendors hired by Japanese firms
