Oct. 2018 - Feb. 2024Mbabane, SwazilandThe objectives of the job are: • To improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness as well as achieving full compliance. • Manage the development and maintenance of a high-quality credit risk rating system used for credit decisions and capital allocation. • Ensure credit risk evaluation on loan proposals from the various market segments. • Ensure thorough analysis and appraisals of loan proposals for individual and corporate clients. • Make suitable recommendations in respect of amount to be sanctioned, acceptability of the risk, terms and conditions of the sanction, pricing for risk, etc. • Contribute in implementation of the Society’s strategy objectives and industry best practices. • Prepare analytical reports and risk register on loan evaluation and discuss same with management and other functional areas. • Ensure awareness and adherence to the credit policy, appropriate risk management policies, procedures, processes and standards throughout the Society. • Adhere to compliance requirements with regard to; AML, Consumer Credit Act, Compliance policy, Governance guidelines (CBS, FSRA), Risk grading/rating, Credit policy and Pricing. • Ensuring awareness and adherence to the credit policy, other relevant policies, credit control procedures and processes. • Adhere to compliance with risk policy and risk guidelines issued by CBS/FSRA • Ensure that all relevant collateral and insurance is clearly spelt out for processing by the Credit Control unit. • Prepare monthly management, statutory, financial, Board Credit and other required reports. • Making follow-ups to resolve and validate open issues noted during reviews by internal and external auditors. • Resolve inspection issues raised by CBS/FSRA • Contribute to the formulation of all policies relating to credit.
