Nov. 2021Cape Coast, Central, GhanaAs the Regional Registration Officer (RRO) for the Central Region, I serve as the strategic and operational, administrative and executive lead overseeing the implementation of Ghana’s National Identification program within the region. I coordinate and supervise the full lifecycle of registration activities, including mass, continuous, institutional, regular, and premium registration exercises, ensuring compliance with national directives, data integrity standards, and service delivery benchmarks. My role involves leading a multi-tiered workforce comprising district registration officers, technical enrolment officers, commissioners for oath, mobile teams, and temporary staff. I provide direct oversight on operational planning, field logistics, biometric data collection integrity, legal adjudications, regional reporting, stakeholder engagement, inter-agency collaboration, document forensics, and client record-conflict resolution. I also play a central role in institutional onboarding initiatives such as what has been done for UCC, Wesley Girls, Mfantsipim. In close collaboration with the NIA’s Operations Directorate, I ensure regional alignment with national policy while proactively responding to on-ground challenges through innovative problem-solving, adaptive resource deployment, and performance-driven field supervision. I also advocate for staff welfare, monitor KPIs, and generate data-informed regional insights to support strategic decisions at the corporate level. This position places me at the convergence of identity management, governance, digital infrastructure, and public service transformation, making my role pivotal to the successful delivery of Ghana’s identity ecosystem and the broader national digitisation agenda.
