Since 1991, I have had the pleasure of working alongside individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. My 30 years of experience in the field has been at all levels – from front line staff, to Case Manager, and eventually to President/CEO. I am a proven leader who doubled Gompers revenues and program participation, was the driving force behind opening a second campus focused on employment as well as the acquisition of another agency, introduced organizational efficiencies and the addition of new programming like the Assistive Technology program and adult literacy program. I have worked closely with advocacy groups, state funding sources and state legislators for the betterment of those we serve. Most importantly, I have engaged with our families and valued them as true partners. The constant philosophy that I have adhered to is simple: “What is in the best interest of those we serve?"

In collaboration with a tremendous leadership team, we worked hard to create a more dynamic program that offered the residents we served a caring, forward-thinking community. Leading the Foundation out of Covid, I worked hard to establish a more professional business operation all while building upon the tremendous legacy that had been created in 1985. Major accomplishments during my time included: • Tripling annual revenue from grants and donations. • Opening of a resident focused fitness center. • Creation of a Board Finance Committee. • Creation and implementation of policies and procedures including Financial, Human Resources and organizational. • Procurement of 2 new shuttles fully funded by donations. • Strengthened alliances with City leaders. • Implementation of the Foundation’s first Strategic Plan. • Improved communications with families by increasing social media presence and creation of a monthly newsletter. • Increased net resident census by 5%.

Dec. 2003 - Aug. 2020Phoenix and Glendale, ArizonaAs the CEO of Gompers, I lead a dynamic team that provided positive growth and increased opportunities for adults and children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. During my 14 year tenure as the CEO I oversaw program growth from from 224 individuals served to more than 500; saw the expansion from one campus to three; saw revenue grow from 5 million to nearly 12 million; saw the asset acquisition of another disability service provider; oversaw the creation of a pre-eminent assistive technology program; brought on in-home services; grew our transportation fleet to 52 vehicles; put in place the first formal strategic planning process in the organization's history; introduced a comprehensive literacy program for all program participants; and coordinated several renovation and upgrade projects. Gompers programs included: Private School - Serving ages 5-22 Adult programming Employment Services Transportation - For those individuals involved in Gompes program In-Home Services - Respite, Attendant Care, Habilitiation Assistive Technology Services
