Apr. 2021 - Jun. 2021Barcelona, Catalonië, Spanje** 2 Michelin star restaurant - be able to speak different foreign languages (a lot of international customers) - welcoming the customer and helping them sit down: Make sure the customers feel welcome and comfortable once they enter the restaurant, ask if they wish to take their coats off and after ask politely if they wish to follow you to their table, tell them one of your colleagues will be right away with them to explain the menu and answer any possible questions they would have about dishes, - serving snacks, dishes, bread and water: make sure there are always snacks, water and bread on the table meanwhile the customers are taking a look at the menu, - serving tables according to the restaurant's protocol: always serve customers via the right hand side, ask who ordered the certain dish that you are carrying before putting the plate down, also warn them if the plate would be very warm, - transporting plates and glasses on a tray: always use a tray, - bar service: make sure the bar is clean at all time, empty glasses are never in eyesight of the customers, make the orders in a right way, - mise en place: setting up the dining room according to the plan of the manager and also, explaining the appetizers, the dishes and the bread to the tables (what they are made of and how they are made). Make sure you are aware of the ingredients and be able to answer questions in the correct way.
