During my first three and a half years as a Tax Analyst, I was part of the compliance team, where I was responsible for preparing and filing Sales and Use Tax returns as well as Motor Vehicle Fuel (MVF) tax returns. My role also involved reviewing customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and communicating directly with state representatives within my assigned U.S. jurisdictions to address inquiries and ensure accurate reporting. Currently, in my position as an Advisory Analyst, I manage supplier accounts and review the taxability of transactions related to Sales and Use Tax for the states of California (CA) and Colorado (CO). I also support ongoing state audits, particularly those conducted by the State of California, by compiling documentation, analyzing findings, and assisting in responses to audit requests
