I used a design thinking philosophy, process & toolkit to help solve problems in higher education, government and beyond. I helped to design a 10 year Transformation 2030 Strategic Plan, re-imagine Homecoming and explore the student experience with technology. And I collaborated with the Government of Japan, Australia's Back2Back Research and Karachi's Institute of Business Administration on a groundbreaking design & digital finance project involving female home-based workers.

Oct. 2015 - May. 2018Ottawa, CanadaI led a Government of Canada Innovation Lab - the first human-centric public sector design lab co-located in an incubator & accelerator at Innovation Centre Cours Bayview Yards in Ottawa. We used design methods, tools & philosophies to help Canadians solve problems with their government. We worked with over 70+ federal departments & agencies and hundreds of Canadians, companies, academia, non-profits and others to use empathy & emerging technologies to co-create prototypes that fix problems. We executed Open Government with free events that celebrated disruptive thinking and doing. We co-Chaired the Government of Canada's Serious Games Network. And I certified as a Serious Play LEGO Facilitator.

Implemented the Canada-US Treaty. Facilitated and coordinated activities securing socio-economic benefits. Modernized and socialized Agency operations. Fostered relationships with TransCanada Pipelines Limited, land & community stakeholders, 30+ Aboriginal groups, and the US & Alaskan governments. Led change management modernization (chief digital officer responsibilities, operations, communications, social licence).
