Plan, organize, and direct election activities, including voter registration, candidate filing, initiative and referendum petition processing, ballot preparation, vote-by-mail ballot processing, polling place operations, counting and certifying
votes, and other activities related to elections.
Responsible for hiring staff and oversight of five divisions, 42 full time staff, and 900 temporary staff prior to major elections.
Oversight of hiring and training over 3,000 poll workers for major elections.
