Jan. 2013 - Jun. 2014Nairobi, KenyaThe purpose of this role is to be accountable to the business for the effective liquid spirit development through to packaging innovation and renovations, process improvement/ issue resolution and manufacturing compliance for EABL’s brands. Partner with suppliers with the aim of improving and sustaining the quality of supplied materials. Identify the optimum supply solution for all Spirits development innovation projects, managing the pipelines, serving as a single point of contact for Supply while managing relationships and ways of working with Technical Centres and other Brand Teams during the life time of a project. Lead Spirits development projects from conceptualisation through to commercialisation and launch, taking full accountability for the technical project deliverables, working in partnership with Diageo Supply, EABL Supply Centres and CAPEX scoping engineers. Co-ordinate plant trials on new processes / raw material with a view of cost cutting and or quality improvements to give the group a competitive advantage in the market. . Deliver all projects to agreed standard on time and within budget while at all times complying with Health and Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice Together with procurement and legal team to ensure that all contracts embody a quality clause that addresses material quality so as to ensure compliance to EABL quality specification Ensured any new materials and processes are created as per global Diageo guidelines, examine and recommend feasibility of systems changes from Process redesign
