Modified SpeducationFounder
Aug. 2021As the Founder of Modified, I lead a mission-driven organization that empowers individuals, families, and educators to advocate for inclusive practices in schools and beyond. Through Modified, we provide expert guidance on navigating special education laws, resources, and strategies to ensure that students with disabilities have access to the educational supports they need to thrive. Key initiatives include: - Offering personalized consultations and discovery calls (Modified Meet Ups) to assess client needs and determine the best path forward. - Supporting parents and caregivers in understanding their rights under education laws, enabling them to become effective advocates for their children (Home Education Blueprint). - Providing advocacy support during IEP meetings, including collaboration with schools to ensure legal compliance and student-centered outcomes. - Delivering professional development to educators on inclusive lesson planning, and creating classrooms where all students feel a sense of belonging. - Coaching teachers to combat burnout by revitalizing their teaching strategies and fostering more engaging, inclusive environments for students. At the heart of Modified is my passion for ensuring that every student—no matter their abilities—can access a supportive, inclusive, and enriching learning experience. Through my work, I strive to build bridges between families, schools, and communities, promoting equity and inclusion at every level.
