Omar El-Hedeiry is a dedicated Bachelor of Political Science student at IE University with a strong passion for international relations and policy development. He graduated with high honors from Middle East International School in Qatar, where he distinguished himself as both an academic achiever and a student leader. During his time at school, Omar was elected as the grade 11 student representative and later served as president of the Student Council in his senior year. In these roles, he worked closely with students and administrators to strengthen student engagement and spearheaded numerous initiatives, including collaborations with the mental health, math, and sports departments. He also led the organization of major events such as the school fair, International Day, and National Day, among many others. Omar was also a highly active member of Model United Nations (MUN) for three years, participating in 10 conferences and winning 9 awards, 3 of them at Georgetown Qatar MUN. He advanced to leadership positions within the club, serving as part of the management team in grade 11 and later as president. As president, he organized the club’s first international MUN trip, personally preparing and training delegates—a milestone that resulted in the school achieving its highest number of awards in a single year. In addition to his academic and leadership endeavors, Omar has contributed to community service and professional experiences. Most notably, he worked with Qatar Islamic International Bank’s marketing team during the Amiri Cup Final in 2024, where he gained valuable exposure to event management, strategy, and outreach.
