Jan. 2014 - Feb. 2016Berkeley, CAOriginally brought on as a consultant to oversee partnership between California Shakespeare Theater and Intersection for the Arts. Developed joint program (“The Triangle Lab”) aimed at discovering new ways for the arts to be integrated more deeply into community life. Took responsibility for creative direction of Lab, coordinated complex partnership between very different organizations and oversaw Lab fundraising and marketing. Helped raise over $1 million to expand the Lab and eventually establish it as a permanent program at Cal Shakes. In 2014, invited into newly expanded full-time role at Cal Shakes leading the Lab as well as taking primary responsibility for integrating the Lab’s discoveries into Cal Shakes’ mainstage programming. Supervised department of three, led all community engagement activities, and served as second to the artistic director on artistic programming and producing.
