While learning tips and tricks on the sewing machinery services and setups. Hands-on Experience & knowledge are some things learned during that period. With 22 years in the industrial sewing equipment supply industry. I’ve had the opportunity working with apparel manufacturers, non-apparel manufacturers, GeoTextile manufacturers and installers, geosynthetic manufacturers and installers, astroturf installers, filtration product, manufacturers , environmental product manufacturers and installers, and erosion control product manufacturers and installers. Assisting our customers with their products in regards to manufacturing sewing equipment, parts and repair service needs. So when needing assistance on machinery selections, replacement parts needs and or repair services. Customers around the world ship machines to us for repair services, especially the Union Special brand machines. More often than not for the geotextile installers there are government job specs a lot of times installers often reach out to me for assistance on sewing thread requirements to meet the job specifications. I do not offer pull testing services. What is offered is the years of experience with guidance for our customers so they may be able to have the proper information so they may meet the job specs. I wanted to learn to become a mechanic for City Sewing Machine so after being trained for 2 years became a mechanic/tech in middle 2009. I had let my boss (at the time) know that we purchase a lot of custom fabricated parts that would be no problem for myself to fabricate if he would purchase the equipment welder and torch needed to take on these new tasks. So by 2010 custom parts fabrication was add to my day to day tasks at City Sewing Machine. With my background as welder/fabricator in the oilfield with 3 years prior experience before working for City Sewing Machine. I enjoy building, fabricating, making things with my hands. Gives self pride once project is completed. 2014 was promoted to shop foreman over all the mechanics and their daily work schedules and work flow. All these job descriptions above were my responsibility till September 2017 was promoted to Sales Manager. In 2020 was promoted to General manager. By 2021 was promoted to Vice President. My normal day to day tasks is sales manager so I requested to keep this title. My current title is Vice President/Sales Manager.
