I am an educator, leader, presenter, and coach driven by a deep commitment to making research meaningful, accessible, and actionable. My 'why' is to empower educators and leaders to create lasting change that transforms student outcomes for all and strengthens school communities. With a proven track record in strategic leadership, my work encompasses a broad spectrum of educational improvement. I specialise in implementing evidence-based instructional practices rooted in the Science of Learning, such as Explicit and Direct Instruction, and driving initiatives in literacy improvement, curriculum development, and change leadership. I believe that practical application of research has the power to reshape classrooms, uplift educators, and inspire students to reach their full potential. I am passionate about supporting schools to implement sustainable, whole-school strategies that prioritise educator wellbeing, enhance teaching quality, and cultivate positive, impactful learning environments. My approach centres on fostering strong leadership, collaborative cultures, and practical, evidence-based solutions that lead to measurable improvements in student learning and school success. I have just completed a contract as a casual academic at Edith Cowan University, where I designed and developed online courses for Master of Education students, equipping the next generation of educators with evidence-informed strategies and leadership skills. In parallel, I partner with individuals and organisations as an executive and transformational coach, guiding professionals to navigate change, unlock their leadership potential, and make a meaningful impact in their fields. Previously, I co-led a state-wide literacy reform across Tasmania’s independent schools, spearheading the successful implementation of the 'Lifting Literacy' Mandate.
