Bitsiatemariam Araya Demissie is a People & Culture professional with over seven years of experience in leadership development, behavioral science, and employee experience across multicultural contexts. With a background in psychology and gender studies, she is passionate about helping individuals lead themselves and others in ways that contribute to a more inclusive and empowered society. Her career spans roles in leadership capacity building, content design, and facilitation—ranging from developing self-leadership micro-courses at the African Leadership University to designing and delivering leadership programs with the Center for Creative Leadership. At ALU, she has driven initiatives to improve employee experience, onboarding, and performance processes, while also leading the design of toolkits, training materials, and engagement strategies that foster collaboration and belonging across teams in more than 35 countries.
