Jul. 2014 - Jun. 2017Spokane, WashingtonLed 130 faculty and staff (95 FTE) to provide highly accessible, well-supported GED, adult high school completion, and ESL programs and programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities. • Led program redesign to create simpler processes for student enrollment, more consistent orientation, and more structured learning opportunities for GED/HS completion students. • Established partnership with community centers, jails and work-release programs, libraries, and elementary schools to extend GED and ESL services directly into communities resulting in improved access and increased enrollment (24% over two years). • Guided the development of competency-based curriculum for adult high school completion. • Led development of partnerships with community-based agencies and healthcare providers to provide students on-site access to services and providers (food bank, dental care, housing support, mental health/SUD services) • Guided the integration of student data stored in disparate systems to provide instructional faculty, counselors, and academic support staff with relevant and appropriate information student information (academic progress, enrollment information, current academic plan, etc.) • Expanded I-BEST (Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training) program into additional CTE areas including Automotive Technology, AAS Business, and Aviation Maintenance and developed Academic I-BEST program resulting in 40% growth in I-BEST enrollment. • Managed program evaluation and reporting for state and federal grant programs and accreditation. • Successfully applied for $1.3 million in new federal funding (Transition and Postsecondary Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities, US Department of Education). • Increased revenue from testing center by 16% by offering additional exams and creating partnerships with other training and social service organizations. • Adjudicated student grievance and disciplinary process for all division students.
