Sep. 2018 - Aug. 2022Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States- Oversee all accounting functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. - Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts while also tracking and reporting variances. - Create and distribute monthly financial statements in a timely manner. - Work on regulatory reporting preparations and ensure timely filing. - Research technical accounting matters to ensure compliance. - Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. - Maintain a high standard of quality control for financial transactions and reporting. - Manage adherence to local, state, and federal government reporting standards and tax submissions. - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance and maintain strong internal controls. - Act as the point of contact between the external auditor and the credit union during the year-end audit. - Prepare the Asset Liability Management Reports (ALM) and distribute to managing parties each month. - Supervise credit union cash flow needs and initiate Federal borrowings and repayments as necessary.
