Rockhurst University As the Head Competition and Game Day Coach for both the cheerleading and dance teams at Rockhurst University, I oversee the development, performance, and administration of two dynamic spirit programs. My role emphasizes athlete skill building, strategic planning, and a culture of excellence both on and off the floor. I foster a competitive headspace within both teams by promoting goal-oriented training, mental resilience, and a strong team-first mindset. This prepares athletes to excel under pressure, both in competition and on game day. I’ve also led a transformative shift in our game day presence, prioritizing high energy, crowd engagement, and spirit leadership to elevate the fan experience and school pride. Key responsibilities include: • Athlete Development: I implement structured training plans that support technical growth, consistency, and safe progression across all skill areas. • Choreography & Creative Direction: I create all performance material for both teams, blending difficulty, creativity, and visual appeal for both game day and national competition. • Recruitment Success: I lead targeted outreach efforts, successfully growing the size and quality of our rosters each season by attracting skilled and committed athletes. • Program Management: I manage annual budgets, travel, uniforms, and fundraising, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining program standards. • Compliance & Leadership: I uphold university, athletic department, and safety policies, while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture built on accountability and mutual respect. My leadership brings together passion, precision, and performance to drive continued success for Rockhurst spirit programs.
