Laura Sisteró is a film and commercial director, photographer, and screenwriter. Her work blends fiction and documentary through powerful visual storytelling. Nominated for Best New Director and Best Documentary at the 2023 Gaudí Awards, she has built a strong career in both cinema and international advertising, collaborating with brands such as Nike, Iberdrola, Adidas, Oysho, Always, and Facebook. Trained at EMAV and ESCAC, she is currently represented by production company Agosto. In cinema, her feature documentary Tolyatti Adrift (2022) was selected at festivals such as Visions du Réel, HotDocs, Festival de Málaga, DocsBarcelona, and Camerimage, receiving multiple awards. In 2016, she directed the short fiction film Waste, which premiered at the Sitges Film Festival and also won several accolades. In 2025, she premieres El Minuto Heroico, her latest documentary series for HBO, while continuing the development of her first fiction feature Gran Silencio, produced by Astra Films and selected for the SGAE and Dones Visuals labs in 2024.
