Work Background
Director, Community Marketing
PivotalDirector, Community Marketing
Feb. 2024Pivotal is bringing personal flight into reality with an electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft called Helix—available for pre-order, no pilot’s license required. I was hired as the first senior marketing leader to build community marketing from zero: no playbook, no precedent. What followed was a fast, ground-up build of a GTM engine that turned early interest into a reliable source of engagement, feedback, and pipeline. Key outcomes: • Designed and executed high-impact, in-market activations—from single-aircraft demo flights to regional tours—placing the product in front of real users, not just industry insiders. • Built cross-functional alignment between Sales, Flight Ops, and Marketing to ensure every engagement drove measurable results, not just brand moments. • Developed a repeatable event-to-funnel system that generated high-quality leads and content, while cutting cost-per-lead vs. traditional air shows. • Turned passive curiosity into active belief by delivering experiences that made the product—and the promise—real.
