May. 2025Shanghai, ChinaAs Vice President of AFL China and General Manager of Football Operations (AFLW), I lead the strategic development of Australian Rules Football across Greater China, with a strong focus on Shanghai. I am also part of the Shanghai Dockers Australian Football Club—the first official Asia partner club of the Fremantle Dockers. My work spans grassroots programs like Auskick, supporting local clubs, developing pathways for high-performance talent, and creating innovative sports-related events that connect business and community. I focus on building long-term partnerships with governments, schools, and sponsors, while driving commercial growth and ensuring the sport’s long-term sustainability in the region. Through sport, I aim to strengthen Australia–China relations. I manage a cross-cultural team, ensure strong governance and financial oversight, and lead communications efforts to grow the reach and impact of AFL across China.

This was followed by another exhibition at King's Cross, London. During that exhibition, I approached Carla with the idea of promoting Lumen in China. This WeChat official account for Lumen Art Projects in China was established by me almost 2 years ago, and to date, we have garnered nearly 1800 followers and published 100 original articles. The average readership for our articles is around 400.

This independent exhibition suggests a variety of experimentations, explorations and approaches proposing technology and the digital as their the main ingredients. Digital Meze represents the wide and varied approach that artists take when engaging with contemporary digital culture. The resulting work ranges from explorations of identity, both on and offline and the challenges involved when immersed in the rapidly evolving environment of social media and the wider Internet, through to investigations into the nature of human existence and even the creation of divine beings. The exhibition enables the revealing of online identities which have been created as attempts at self-representation through the use of social networks and internet trends, often in an effort to communicate and bridge the gap between location and time. The wide variety of artistic practice throws up questions of whether we could, or even should, attempt to excavate and preserve what is truly human but which often gets lost amidst the buzzing jungle of high technology and instant online communication.
