Aug. 2018 - Jun. 2023Puerto Rico-Manage programs, analysis, evaluation, and production of public policy recommendations on topics such as: housing, economic and community development, small businesses, community planning, water, health, geographic information, agriculture and sustainability, census data, post-disaster planning, among others
-Lead a team of planners, analysts, and community engagement staff responsible for applied research, spatial analysis, data collection, community needs assessments, and program evaluation
-Oversee development of comprehensive plans, land use and zoning policies, disaster resilience strategies, affordable housing plans, and healthy communities initiatives
-Make regular presentations on research findings, existing conditions analyses, and proposed strategies/policies to executive leadership, elected officials, partners, and community groups
-Monitor federal/state grant opportunities and oversee proposal development to secure funding for priority planning projects and community development initiatives
-Cultivate partnerships across government agencies as well as community-based groups and private sector stakeholders to inform research scope and maximize impact
-Develop interactive dashboards, GIS visualizations, and other tools to communicate trends, maps, and indicators on topics ranging from demographics to food access to climate vulnerabilities
-Standardize data collection, analysis, and planning processes across the organization to improve quality, efficiency, transparency and accountability
- Manage PopTiendas Project focused on delivering companionship, capacity building and equipment for business owners that lost their business after hurricane María in 2017. ($2.8M)
-Manage Viviendas Project which included the repairs of over 750+ homes and the Coordination of the Movimiento Vivienda Digna coalition. ($3.4M)
-Manage the 2020 Census Puerto Rico Campaign coordinating a Coalition of 20+ NGOs targeting the hard-to-count populations ($1.3M)
