I was the GEC Project Manager leading implementation team of 19 to implement a Globally Recognized Data Transformation Software aimed at reducing compliance and criminal risk through analysis of Customer and Transaction information. This project included the implementation of the technical solution, within the client existing organization, and technology, improving its functionality. This relied on my depth and breadth of banking and payments knowledge, and my interaction with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the project goals were maintained. This successful implementation helped HSBC to close the DPA with the US regulators.

I have lead the process for the evaluation of the construction software (AutoCAD/BIM) strategy for the Berkeley Group for the next 3 years. The other area that was a key focus during my role at Berkeley Included the business engagement, focusing on how business can be supported business by IT as it develops. This included defining what was expected from IT by the business, re-defining the KPI's and performance measures to be more business focused, and aligned to the needs of the business and a review of control processes.

This was focused on end to end business processes, including the operating model, test case analysis, test results review, functional design, format checking, and business embedding.I have also worked as a project manager lead for various projects including introducing the of ACH payments into Canada, the FTS (RTGS) upgrade in UAE, Pan-European PSD compliance, the introduction of a BACS bureau and migration to Faster payments in the UK, and the integration of RBS and ABN AMRO services and technology. I also support the business growth by partnering with GTS business owners, Product managers, and sales & Implementation teams re operational knowledge of our products, footprint and global network in support of new deals requiring expansion of services. My key tasks in this period have been for the Bulk Payment system, Global Portal framework (CMS), various portlets, the online local channels for SME products in Central and Eastern Europe and the Payment Router in the Mid Office. The BMO also represents the Operations in all strategic planning and development meetings for the channel. During this time I have successfully moved an operations department off shore, and reduced the incident count on the AD product by 75%, through review of alerting and training issues. I also lead the business as usual stream for the data centre migration, where core IT applications where migrated from the US to Europe. During this project we maintained the service standards, had a 25% annual growth on a system processing in excess of 35 million payments. These tasks were completed against the background of the separation form the previous ABN Amro bank and the integration within the RBS group.

The position was Amsterdam based and required me to work within the Dutch mid and back office environment. Tasks included using analysis of SLA reports, complaints and business requirements to locate and resolve bottlenecks to establish performance improvements in IT services. This resulted in the performance of service to move from less than 40% inside service level, to in excess of 90% of agreed SLA. During this time I co-ordinated the IT processes for the set-up of the Client Services Department in Amsterdam and the refurbishment of the Regional Operating Center in Rotterdam on behalf of the Working Capital Infrastructure Department. Whilst in this position I undertook a cost reviews that have delivered annual saving of approximately 30 % of previous levels, through the retiring of systems, licences and support no longer required.
