Aug. 2013SingaporeLecturing and teaching dance classes for the BA Musical Theatre course, comprising of five modules; Musical Theatre Jazz, Jazz Pas de Deux, Fosse Technique/Repertoire, Musical Theatre Dance History and Dance Technique fundamentals. Involved in specialist choreography projects for Musical Theatre Repertoire on an annual basis. Collaborating with other faculty to conceptualise the show Evolution of Musical Theatre, which is now an integral part of the course and a highlight for many students in terms of growth. Working on the graduation productions as either the Choreographer or Assistant if an overseas Director/Choreographer is brought in. Leading a team of dance teachers for various genres of dance within the Musical Theatre program. Designing course content that is both relevant to the genre and to the Musical Theatre course as a whole. Implementing the artistic direction of the course, as laid out by the Course Director and ensuring all team members have a clear understanding of this and the ability to put it into practice. Being aware and proactive with cultural sensitivities, student mental and physical health. Offering mentorship for students and faculty, in relation to the course. Ensuring all output from the team adheres to best and safe practice for both the faculty and the students. Assessing of teacher conduct and productivity through class observations and feedback sessions. Reporting directly to the Course Director and collaborating with other department heads. Leading assessment sessions and overseeing grading and moderating.
