DotGov Design Chair
AIGA DCDotGov Design Chair
Jun. 2020 - May. 2022Washington, District of Columbia, United StatesWith an interest in contributing to and meeting the local creative community, I joined the AIGA DC Board as a volunteer. In this role, I oversaw a committee of seventeen designers, accessibility experts, and district members to create and execute the 2021 AIGA DC bi-annual DotGov Design Conference. With a natural knack for organizing and leading groups, I built a society of civic-minded designers throughout the Washington DC area, which quickly expanded to include international federal and state design employees. Realizing the organization’s accessibility issues, I procured an in-kind sponsorship from Coforma to overhaul the DotGov website presentation and influenced the national board to follow suit. Together with this talented group of experts, I am proud of impacting a positive difference in the creative community.

Director
US NavyDirector
Sep. 2013 - Sep. 2019Washington D.C. Metro AreaI had the privilege of establishing my formative career experience by serving as the leader of DEVGRU’s irregular warfare program for six years. Navigating fast-paced, often dangerous, environments, I embraced their “quiet professional” motto, gaining a deep understanding and proficiency in discipline, leadership, organizational scaling, and effective planning. While engaging in classified security challenges worldwide, I gleaned once-in-a-lifetime training and educational opportunities, but more importantly, I learned the importance of investing in people and creating a supportive culture of success, even in the face of executing high-stakes missions to protect the nation. Collaborating with the most influential mentors of my career, I established an internship program at The National Defense University and The University of St Andrews which continues to enroll students annually.
