Five ministry areas carry out the Mission Agency’s work: Compassion, Peace and Justice; Evangelism and Church Growth; Racial Ethnic & Women’s Ministries; Theology, Worship and Education; and World Mission. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has more than 1.7 million members in more than 10,000 congregations and worshiping communities across the country. Six agencies, including the Presbyterian Mission Agency, comprise Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). • Analyze and identify key communication and marketing needs for two ministry areas – a total of 25 programs and initiatives – of the Presbyterian Mission Agency.
• Develop and produce the Racial Ethnic Torch Magazine, published three times per year and distributed to more than 4,000 recipients. • Develop and implement an integrated communications plan for the twelve programs and offices housed in the Racial Ethnic & Women’s Ministry area of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). • Contributing reporter for Presbyterian’s Today Magazine and the Presbyterian News Service for local, regional and national events. • Develop all key marketing pieces for local, regional and national events, including brochures, postcards, posters and flyers, press kits, press releases and media alerts, email and direct mailings, etc. • Partner with national funds development managers to set goals, develop key messages and materials needed to raise funds to support national programs and initiatives. • Provide onsite social media support for local, regional and national events. • Conduct social media workshops for staff to deepen understanding, increase effectiveness and share best practices for each tool.
