Sep. 2024 - Mar. 2025Toronto, Ontario, CanadaLead, manage, and mentor a team of IT professionals, including developers, DBAs, and Technical Support, in the implementation, management and support of Azure cloud solutions and MS SQL databases. • Ensure efficient support for critical databases, maintaining high availability and swift incident resolution. • Apply a strong understanding of the Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) stack in data management and reporting. • Leverage extensive knowledge of API integration, software development, and database technologies, including NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and Cosmos DB, to support system functionality. • Lead the transition from on-premises servers (versions 2008-2019) to Azure, ensuring a smooth migration process. • Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to minimize the risk of data loss. • Provide excellent client-facing support, ensuring positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and problem-solving. • Oversee the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints in project proposals. • Create and implement IT strategies that align with the organization’s overall business objectives. • Assess and adopt new technologies to enhance the efficiency, security, and performance of IT infrastructure. • Engage in vendor negotiations and manage hardware/software procurement to optimize resources. • Utilize fluency in English and Ukrainian to facilitate clear communication within the team and with stakeholders. • Report on teams’ KPIs, OKRs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for comprehensive insights. • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Implement safety protocols and measures to safeguard employees and Company’s assets. • Mitigate operational risks and manage potential crises effectively.
