With over 6000 enrolled students from more than 50 countries, UTP is the nation’s best private university, 6th in ASEAN, and top 500 in the world ranking by the Times Higher Education (THE). + Promoted industry-university partnership through research collaboration, student internship, field visits, and delivery of short courses and adjunct lectures to both industry and students. Industry partners included PETRONAS, Schlumberger, and Halliburton. + Secured funding for 6 grants valued at USD100K through proposals to advance research on drilling efficiency in the oil and gas industry. Collaborators included PETRONAS, Halliburton, and Curtin University Malaysia. + Developed course curricula and instructed more than 5 petroleum engineering courses for undergraduate and graduate students. + Designed pedagogical techniques including cooperative learning, flipped classroom, learning by teaching, project-based learning, and 3D printed-based learning to promote student-centered learning. + Supervised over 50 students’ theses in the area of multiphase flow of complex fluids and particles, to enhance process efficiency in industrial systems. + Mentored 6 underperforming students through direct teaching and independent learning, while providing counseling and constructive feedback. Ninety-nine percent of students achieved academic success. + Developed an online system to coordinate final-year students’ projects. This system replaced the manual process for project selection, submission, evaluation, and presentation while increasing the efficiency of handling more than 100 students per semester. + Authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented 10+ technical papers at both national and international conferences.
