Funds utilized to purchase and distribute 350,000 new books to children in poverty. • Inspired and unified leaders at 30-plus TV stations and media companies to coordinate single-day, nationwide book giveaway to raise awareness of childhood literacy statistics and Scripps employee generosity. Orchestrated storytelling via broadcasting, website and social media channels to effectively boost brand. • Led cross-functional team to produce first-ever, streamed television-quality show for Scripps Howard Awards to celebrate journalism excellence. In subsequent years, Scripps TV stations began broadcasting the show. • Created giving philosophy for three community funds to maximize investments in nonprofits and awareness of grants.
